I received Bachelor and Master of Music degrees from the University of Houston School of Music, now known as the Moores School of Music. I studied Conducting with A. Clyde Roller and James T. Mathews, and Composition with Michael Horvit. I played with the Houston Grand Opera Orchestra for 25 years and then taught in Deer Park ISD, and was head of the Orchestra program and orchestra director at the High School for the last 14 years I was there. I was also the Music Director and Orchestra Conductor of the Pasadena Philharmonic Society. I am now retired and 'work' as a composer, with over 40 works for string orchestra currently in print. I also work as a guest clinician, and judge orchestra contests in Oklahoma and Arkansas.
